The best crowd pleaser!!
I brought this dish to 4 holiday parties and they were a hit each time! They are so easy to make, and requires little cooking skills. It’s still paleo and you can enjoy them guiltfree 🙂
1. Make sure you buy high quality bacon. Make sure it is ANTIBIOTIC FREE, NITRIC ACID (preservatives) FREE, WHEAT FREE, ORGANIC
2. Medjool Dates
3. Use high quality sprouted almonds. The process of sprouting almonds fundamentally changes the composition of the almond. Also, “anti-nutrients” such as phytic acid, enzyme inhibitors and insoluble fibers are decreased, which allows for increased bio-availability and nutrient absorption.
Set oven for 425 degrees F. Half the dates, remove the seeds, and put 2 almonds in each date. Close up the date, and wrap with half a piece of bacon (raw). Place on foil on a baking dish. You can make about 30-40 at a time! Bake for 20 minutes, flip the dates over, bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Eat and enjoy!
You can save your dates, and then just reheat them in the toaster oven or skillet when ready to eat 🙂
